Our company has more than 50 years of experience. It all began when we opened our first hotel in Marbella on 4 July 1957, built next to the ruins of "El Fuerte de San Luís" (San Luís Fort), which gave its name to our first establishment, the Fuerte Marbella, and to our company.

Our motto is "Caring for People and the Environment".

The El Fuerte Group is committed to running its business in a way that respects the natural surroundings wherever its facilities are located. Using the ISO 14001 international environmental management standard as a tool, they respond to society's current urge to preserve and improve natural resources so they can be used and enjoyed by future generations.
